Appointment of the part time members to the Administrative Review Council

Minister for Justice, Duncan Kerr, announced today the reappointment of Alan Robertson and the appointment of Greg Wood to the Administrative Review Council. Both appointments take effect on 1 October 1994, for a period of three years.

The Administrative Review Council is a high level statutory body which provides advice to the Government on administrative law matters and related issues.

Both appointees bring to the Council experience and knowledge of administrative law.

Mr Robertson is a barrister practising primarily in constitutional and administrative law fields. He was first appointed to the Council in May 1992 and his expertise in this area of law has proved invaluable.

Mr Wood is a Deputy Secretary in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. He has previously held a number of senior positions in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. He brings to the Council valuable insights from his extensive experience of public administration.
