The Golden Wattle, a Government Mobile Service Centre will be in the Swan Hill region

during the week of February 8, giving locals easy access to essential government payments

and services.

The Golden Wattle will visit Cohuna, Manangatang, Kerang, Tooleybuc and Robinvale, with

staff on board equipped to assist with Centrelink and Medicare payments, Child Support

information and hearing and health checks.

The Member for Mallee, Andrew Broad, said the service centre is another way to reduce the

gap between regional communities and essential government services and he encourages

people to take advantage of the visit.

“Staff will be able to help people learn what services and support they may be eligible for and

can help them with the application process.

“At the moment, the Farm Household Allowance is very important in our region and there will

be staff on board to help farmers and their families to access this allowance and to manage

their claims from home.

“There will also be staff from the Australian Tax Office available to assist people with their tax
