Community Grants up to $20,000 Now Available

Federal Member for Cowper Luke Hartsuyker is calling for expressions of interest from community groups seeking funding for small capital projects through the Stronger Communities Programme.

“The Stronger Communities Programme will deliver $150,000 per year for two years to fund small capital projects which deliver social benefits in the Cowper electorate,” Mr Hartsuyker said.

“Applicants can apply for grants of at least $5,000 up to a maximum of $20,000 for capital works or purchases. The applicant must provide matching cash or in-kind funding on at least a dollar for dollar basis.

“Our region is home to many dedicated community and volunteer groups that support a range of worthy causes. I am pleased to be able to offer support to these organisations through the Stronger Communities Programme.

“I invite any interested community group to submit an expression of interest to my office by 21 August.

“I am establishing a community consultation committee to work with me to identify those projects which will deliver the best possible outcomes for our community.

“Once the committee has considered each of the expressions of interest, I will invite selected organisations to formally apply for funding through the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development.

“The formal applications will be assessed against the Programme Guidelines by the Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development to ensure that approved projects represent value for money.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for local organisations to secure funding for important projects that will contribute to stronger communities.”

Application forms are available from Mr Hartsuyker’s electorate office. Please call 6652 6233 or email
