$11.62 Million Federal Grant for Euroa Health

Despite the caretaker period of the last Labor Rudd government commencing before the contract for the new Euroa Health grants were signed, the new Abbott federal Coalition has now signed off on Euroa’s $11.62 million federal grant.

“I am pleased to announce that Euroa Health has received $11.62 million in funding to go towards the new Amaroo Lodge Nursing Home,” the federal Member for Murray Dr Sharman Stone said.

“Euroa health has also been successful in receiving 8 new residential places, which will take its care capacity up to 75 beds when the new building is finished.”

“This much needed funding is a big step forward for Euroa Health and will enable them to be more dynamic with their aged care program. The Amaroo Lodge Nursing home has been open since 1980 where it started with just 15 beds. In 1992 the nursing home doubled its capacity to 30 beds,” Sharman Stone said.

“Thanks to the Federal Government grant the additional beds for the Amaroo Lodge nursing home will help keep local nursing home residents in Euroa, which makes it easier for visits from local families and friends.”

“I have visited Amaroo on many occasions and witnessed first-hand the dedicated care and service provided by staff and management. This grant is fantastic news for residents and staff alike,” Sharman Stone said.
