MUSWELLBROOK MEMORIAL GROVE RECEIVES SALUTING THEIR SERVICE GRANT

Federal Member for Hunter, Joel Fitzgibbon, today announced the approval of funding to the Muswellbrook Memorial Grove Maintenance Committee under the commemorations program Saluting Their Service.

The committee has secured $2,430 which will replace 38 deteriorated Army, Navy and Air Force unit signs at the Muswellbrook Memorial Grove.

“I congratulate the committee for having secured funding and ensuring the contribution of our service personnel is honoured and remembered,” said Mr Fitzgibbon.

“Saluting Their Service is an important source of funding to help ex-service, community organisations and schools to honour and remember the contribution made by Australians in times of war and conflict.”

“Honouring the dedicated service of our past and present servicemen and women is very important, and through this program we are ensuring that they are recognised and remembered.”
