The annmiiu't mvht hy the Federal Minister of Communications Michael Lee that Councils would lie given mote control over (he activities of Telstra and OpfuiToYei head cabling will face its first test today, when (he Shire of Nillumbtk officially asks AUSTEL ,to older TELSTRA to provide Information on its underground ducting system within the Shire of Nillumhik .

The Council has requested AUSTEL to undertake an Independent audit of the underground capacity within the Shire to forev Optus Vision overttead cabling Into existing underground ducting . '" '
