MARKET AUSTRALIA) CAMPAIGN

The Minister for Trade, Senator Bob McMullan - together with representatives of State Governments, business and industry - will launch a new marketing and communications campaign in Asia at a function at the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay in Sydney on Sunday 9 April from 12:15pm.

The campaign - the full details of which will be released at the launch - is being conducted by Market Australia based on the most extensive market research ever carried out by Australia in the Asia-Pacific region. Market Australia has selected the innovative advertising agency Batey Kazoo as its partner in the campaign.

Market Australia is a new unit in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade specially tasked by Federal Cabinet to manage a campaign throughout Asia aimed at raising the level of awareness of Australia's advanced technological and manufacturing capacity. Market Australia works closely with Austrade, state governments and business as part of the Team

Australia strategy.

The launch will be attended by representatives of Federal and State Governments, industry groups and companies, and diplomatic and trade representatives.
