DO YOU NEED SOMEONE TO SPEAK ON THE UN?

The Secretary-General of the United Nations. Boutros Boutros-Ghali arrives in Australia on 26 April to attend the Global Cultural Diversity Conference in Sydney. The Global Cultural Diversity Conference is part of Australia's contribution to celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the UN.

In addition to the Global Cultural Diversity Conference, the Australian Government has *" organised a series of celebration activities throughout 1995. These include: • a series of major conferences on peacekeeping and peacemaking, global governance, crime and justice;

• UN Youth Association National Convention; • media peace awards; • the release of a commemorative stamp by Australia Post; • the release of a 20 cent by the Australian Mint; and • an active speakers program in regional and metropolitan centres.
