KOBE EARTHQUAKE RELIEF EFFORTS

To those who have sent messages of sympathy and kind offers of assistance following last week’s devastating earthquake, the Embassy of Japan and Consulate Generals in Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth) wish to express our most sincere thanks.

The Embassy would like to provide the following information to those who wish to make donations or send relief supplies to the disaster relief operations in the earthquake hit areas.

DONATIONS

0 Australian Red Cross is able to accept donations to be passed on to Japanese Red Cross. They can be forwarded to:

♦ Japanese Red Cross GPO Box 9949 ‘in each Australian capital city’

♦ or can be pledged by calling 1800 811 700 (freecall)

0 Donations are also being accepted by Hyogo Prefecture and Kobe City in the following accounts.
