Consular Travel Advice : AUCKLAND

The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade advises that the loss of normal electric power supply is severely affecting the operation of businesses, hotels and service facilities in the Auckland Central Business District. The local power utility has announced that supply disruptions may continue up to and including the first week in March while power cabling is

replaced. Travellers to New Zealand intending to do business in or to visit Auckland's Central Business District in this period are advised to consider deferring their travel pending resumption of normal electricity supply services or to check carefully in advance the degree to which arrangements made for their travel remain viable.

NB: While every care has been taken in preparing this travel advice, neither the Australian Government nor its agents or employees including any member o f Australia's consular staff abroad, can accept liability for any injury, loss or damage arising in respect o f any statement contained herein.
