AUSTRALIANS ACCIDENTALLY WOUNDED

Two Australian soldiers were accidentally wounded in action in South

Vietnam on Friday (April 17).

Both soldiers, members of 6th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment

New Zealand (ANZAC), were wounded by fire from a friendly patrol.

Full details are not yet available at Army Headquarters.

Private G.J. Taylor, of Mount Barker, WA, is in a satisfactory condition,

and Private G.R. Parks, of Kilburn, SA is in a very satisfactory condition.

Both are at the 1st Australian Field Hospital at Vung Tau.

Next of kin have been informed.
