SOLDIER'S NAME RELEASED

Army Headquarters has released the name of an Australian soldier

wounded during a contact with the enemy in Phuoc Tuy Province, South

Vietnam, last Thursday (April'2).

He is Private G.K.R. Strickland , of North Rockhampton, Qld, a member of 7th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment, who is in a

satisfactory condition.

Private Strickland's name had been withheld pending notification

of next of kin, who have now been informed.
