Outline
The Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security Amendment Bill contains amendments to the Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security Act 1986 (‘the Act’) intended to update and modernise the operation of the Act.

The proposed amendment has no financial impact.
Note on Amendment
Amendment 1 - Schedule 1, page 7 (after line 12), at the end of the Schedule
This amendment provides that the Inspector-General of Intelligence and Security (IGIS) must include in an annual report prepared under subsection (1) commentary on any employment during the year of a person under proposed new subsection 32(3), whether or not the employment commenced during that year, and on any delegation under proposed new section 32AA in force during the year covered by the report.
