purpose
To provide for the imposition of levies on members of a tuition assurance scheme.

Main Provisions
Clause 2 provides that this Bill will commence at the same time as section 8 of the proposed Education Services for Overseas Students (Registration of Providers and Financial Regulation) Amendment Act 7993 Section 8 of that proposed Act will commence on a day fDted by Proclamation. However, if it does not commence by Proclamation within 6 months of that proposed Act receiving
Royal Assent, it will commence on the day after that period.
Clause 3 provides that regulations under the proposed Education Sen&es fof Overseas Students (Registration of Providers and Financial Regulation) Amendment Act 1993 providing for the establishment of a tuition assurance scheme may allow the rules of lthe scheme to impose levies on members of the scheme.
