Summary

Amends the: Fisheries Administration Act 1991 and Fisheries Management Act 1991 to give effect to Australia’s obligations under the Agreement to Promote Compliance with International Conservation and Management Measures by Fishing Vessels on the High Seas; and Fisheries Management Act 1991 to strengthen the Australian Fisheries Management Authority’s ability to deliver and enforce fisheries management in Commonwealth fisheries. Also contains a saving provision.
