Summary

Amends the Health Insurance Act 1973 to: enable the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Medicare Australia to require certain documents to be produced by a medical practitioner during a compliance audit; and provide that a practitioner unable to substantiate an amount paid for a service may be liable to pay a penalty.
