Summary

Following government endorsement of the recommendations of the Review of the Regulation of Access to Communications (the Blunn Report), the bill amends the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979 in relation to: access to telecommunications data for national security and law enforcement purposes; and makes consequential amendments to five other Acts.
