Summary

Introduced with the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemicals (Administration) Amendment Bill 2004, the bill amends the Industrial Chemicals (Notification and Assessment) Act 1989 to give effect to Australia’s obligations under the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade. Also contains an application provision.
