Summary

The bill: abolishes the entitlement of former members of Parliament to severance travel and to a Life Gold Pass; provides for limited travel and other entitlements in certain circumstances; and provides for the transfer of certain frequent flyer points to the Commonwealth upon a member’s death or retirement. Repeals the Members of Parliament (Life Gold Pass) Act 2002 and contains transitional provisions and a regulation-making power.
