Financial Sector Reform (Amendments and Transitional Provisions) Bill (No.2) 1999

 

 

Amendments to be moved by Mr K J Thomson

 

(1)     Schedule 3, item 9, page 10 (after line 6), after subsection 12(3) insert:

           “(4)  An instrument granting an exemption or varying or revoking an exemption is a disallowable instrument for the purposes of section 46A of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 .”.

(2)     Schedule 9, item 5, page 20 (lines 20 to 22), omit the item.

(3)     Schedule 9, item 9, page 21 (lines 33 to 34), omit “, by a person directly or indirectly responsible for the administration of the fund”.

(4)     Schedule 9, item 9, page 22 (lines 3 to 4), omit “by a person directly or indirectly responsible for the administration of the fund,”.

(5)     Schedule 9, Item 12, page 22 after line 26, insert “(3) The Minister’s written request to APRA made under 230A(1) for advice in relation to the application for assistance must be tabled in the Parliament after the Minister has made a written determination under 231(1)”.
