(Amendments to be moved by Mr Smith)
(1) Schedule 1, item 1, page 3 (line 16), at the end of the second dot point in the simplified outline, add:
The instrument must also specify an offer time for the event or series. The offer time must occur 30 days or more before the start of the event or series unless the Minister is satisfied that the offer time should occur closer to the start of the event or series.
(2) Schedule 1, item 1, page 3 (line 20), after “must”, insert “, before the offer time,”.
(3) Schedule 1, item 1, page 3 (line 22), at the end of the third dot point in the simplified outline, add:
The offer must remain open for acceptance for a minimum period of 7 days.
(4) Schedule 1, item 1, page 3 (line 27), after “must”, insert “, before the offer time,”.

(4A) The offer time in relation to an event or series of events must occur 30 days or more before the start of the event or the series of events, as the case may be, unless the Minister is satisfied that the offer time should occur closer to the start of the event or series of events, as the case requires.
(11) Schedule 1, item 1, page 11 (after line 11), after subsection (5), insert:
(5A) The period referred to in subsection (5) must not be shorter than 7 days.
(12) Schedule 1, item 1, page 15 (after line 26), after subsection (4), insert:

(14) Schedule 1, after section 146Q, page 16 (after line 27) insert:
146S Review of anti-hoarding provisions
(1) Within 2 years after the commencement of this Part, the Minister must cause to be conducted a review of the effectiveness of the anti-hoarding provisions enacted by this Part.
(2) The Minister must cause a report to be prepared of the review under subsection (1).
(3) The Minister must cause copies of the report to be laid before each House of the Parliament within 15 sitting days of that House after the completion of the preparation of the report.
