Workplace Relations Amendment (Transition to Forward with Fairness) Bill 2008

[ Amendment in relation to outworkers ]

(1)     Schedule 2, item 9, page 96 (lines 27 to 30), omit the definition of outworker in subsection 576K(2), substitute:

outworker means a person engaged, for the purposes of the trade or business of another person (the employer), to perform work at private residential premises or at other premises that are not business or commercial premises of the employer.

(2)     Schedule 2, item 9, page 100 (line 13), at the end of the definition of eligible entity in section 576U, add:

                    ; (f)  a person or entity (which may be an unincorporated club) that carries on an activity (whether of a commercial, governmental or other nature) in Victoria, in connection with the activity carried on in Victoria.
