Senator WOOD (QUEENSLAND) - Mr Deputy President,do you know that the Press gallery has been almost packed out this morning? Would you say that it was the great national social gossip question concerning a female government employee's flat that brought those people into the Press gallery? In view of the attendance today will you take up with the President on his return the question of whether a request should be sent to the owners of the media that whenever legislation of national consequence is being debated in this chamber in the future they might see that a similar representation is present instead of attending only for gossip questions?

The DEPUTY PRESIDENT Order! I have no information on the subject on which the honorable senator seeks information from me. I will consider his request concerning an approach to the President.
