Senator PRIMMER (VICTORIA) - My question is directed to the Postmaster-General. In view of Leyland 's current difficulties and reorganisation, does the Minister expect any problems in relation to the purchase of Leyland mini-vans for the courier service?

Senator BISHOP - When it was decided to enter the courier service a contract was made with Leyland for the supply of, I think, 1 30 Clubman mini-vans. I have been told that because this van is assembled in Australia there will be no difficulty about servicing or spare parts. I think the current problems with Leyland can be related more to vehicles which are manufactured in Australia.
