Senator BYRNE (Queensland) -The Democratic Labor Party, similarly, will not oppose the passage of the Bill. As Senator Withers, the Leader of the Opposition, has said this is in pursuance of an agreement arrived at between the Commonwealth and the States and gives effect to that agreement. Question resolved in the affirmative.

Bill read a second time, and passed through its remaining stages without amendment or debate.
