Senator MURPHY (New South WalesLeader of the Opposition) - Mr President, we would like the debate on the matter which is presently before the Senate to continue in order that a determination might be reached on it. As I understand the position, there is not a great deal more debate to take place on the matter and we could almost certainly get to a vote this evening within a reasonable time. For that reason we oppose the motion for the adjournment.
