Senator GIETZELT (NEW SOUTH WALES) - I ask the Minister representing the Minister for the Interior whether he knows that there are ' growing numbers of private cars being parked on nature strips and open space areas around Parliament House during the day and in the evenings. Is not this practice a breach of section 3, paragraph 3 of the Trespass on Commonwealth Land Ordinance 1972? In view of the Government's adherence to law and order, will the Minister inform the Senate why the Commonwealth police have not yet acted with the same alacrity against, these offenders as they did. against those associated with the 'Aboriginal embassy? ' '

Senator COTTON - Like the honourable senator, I do not . care to see the natural, beautiful surroundings of Parliament House upset or destroyed in any way. I shall direct the honourable senator's question to the responsible Minister.. \.
