Senator MILLINER -Will the Minister representing the Minister for Labour and National Service indicate whether the Government will approve of the arrangements for working hours advanced by the Tourist Bureau representatives so that employees in that industry will be asked to work less than the standard 120 hours in a 3-week period?

Senator WRIGHT - I have not seen any statement to that effect. I should like to see the statement in its context. Having had some experience as Minister-in-Charge of Tourist Activities I am at a loss to see why shorter hours should be worked by people in that industry. Perhaps I could be permitted to express a personal view that those working in that industry might expect to work extraordinary hours having regard to the nature of the industry.
