Senator WRIGHT (Tasmania) (Minister for Works) - We have listened to Senator Douglas McClelland out of his immaturity and puerility refer to proceedings in this adjournment debate. The fact is that, when a Minister proposes to ask for leave to make a statement in this House, the courtesy of providing a copy of that statement as early as possible to the Leader of the Opposition (Senator Murphy) is afforded before leave is sought so that the Opposition may be informed of the statement for which leave is sought to be given.

Senator Georges - You did not do that the other day.

Senator WRIGHT - We do it as far as practicable.

Senator Keeffe - That is a qualification.
