Senator GREENWOOD (VictoriaAttorneyGeneral) - I will be seeking leave to make a statement to the Senate on behalf of the Minister for the Environment, Aborigines and the Arts (Mr Howson) entitled: 'Australian Environment. Commonwealth Policy and Achievements'. However, I am conscious that already I have taken up one hour of the Senate's time in reading another statement and I would take approximately another half an hour in reading this statement which relates to the Government's reaction to the reports of the Senate Select Committee on Air and the Senate Select Committee on Water Pollution. I seek leave to make the statement at another hour this day.

The DEPUTY PRESIDENT (Senator Laucke) - Is leave granted? There being no objection, leave is granted.
