Senator DEVITT (TASMANIA) - Does the Minister representing the Minister for Social Services recall that twice in the recent past I have directed a question to him in this chamber in an endeavour to secure an interpretation of sections of the social services legislation, the benefits of which are currently denied to persons in certain walks of life? Since the question relates to a quite simple matter of interpretation which must be readily available, what is the reason for the inordinate delay in providing me with an answer?

Senator GREENWOOD - I am unable to answer the honourable senator's question, but I shall pursue the matter, and find out for him.
