The PRESIDENT - There being no objection, leave is granted.


Senator PROWSE - A summary of the recommendations and conclusions of the Committee arrived at after studying the evidence presented, is as follows -

1.   There is an urgent need not only to provide adequate laboratory and other accommodation and open space for the Division of Radiophysics, but to relieve the overcrowding problems of the National Standards Laboratory.

2.   The Committee recommends the reestablishment of the Division at Epping, New South Wales.

3.   The Committee supports the action being taken to acquire the remaining land which will give the site a continuous frontage on Pembroke and Vimiera Roads, Epping.

4.   The Committee recommends the construction of the buildings and services as proposed.

5.   The estimated cost of the proposed work is £800,000.
