Senator DRURY (SOUTH AUSTRALIA) asked the Minister for

Civil Aviation, upon notice -

1.   Has the Department of Civil Aviation refused permission to Lufthansa German Airlines to fly two services a week between Australia and Germany?

2.   Is it a fact that Qantas has two services a week to Frankfurt and that this arrangement morally obliges the Australian Government to grant the Germanrequest for a bi-weekly service to Australia?

3.   What are the Government's reasons for refusing the necessary permission to the German airline?
