Senator PALTRIDGE (Western Australia) (Minister for Defence) . - I am very interested in what Senator Wright had to say. When he started I was not too sure whether I was pleased or sorry that I had referred to the licensing legislation in the various States, but having heard him I am glad I did, because his argument throws up a matter that might well be considered. I see the force of the argument and I would like the opportunity to examine it more closely. I ask the Senate to pass the amendment I have submitted today. As I have indicated, this legislation is even now under review and this matter, together with the proposition regarding Aboriginals, will be among the things that will be examined more closely with a view to improving the amendment which I have submitted.
