Senator FITZGERALD (NEW SOUTH WALES) asked the Minister representing the Minister for Health, upon notice -

1.   Is it a fact that the medical stabilization agreement between the Australian Medical Association and the Commonwealth Government is due to expire shortly? If so, when?

2.   Was any provision made for medical benefits funds to meet possible increases in doctors' fees when the Government recently granted permission for the increase in weekly contributions to these funds? If not, will the funds be again eligible to ask for a further increase in weekly contributions?
