Senator MCCLELLAND (NEW SOUTH WALES) - I direct my question to the Minister representing the Minister for Trade and Industry. Are large quantities of surplus wheat stored in emergency storage facilities throughout Australia, particularly in the wheat growing areas of New South Wales? Have the Canadian and United States Governments recently announced reductions in the prices of their wheat? Has this caused Australia any difficulty in securing additional sales abroad? What steps are being taken by the Government or by the Australian Wheat Board to step up the sale overseas of Australia's wheat production? What approaches has the Australian Government made to the Canadian and United States authorities about the recently announced price reductions?
