Senator BENN (QUEENSLAND) - Can the Minister representing the Minister for Primary Industry inform me why 200 tons of tobacco leaf, worth more than £100,000, were burned at the Nudgee rubbish dump, Brisbane, early in December 1964? Was the tobacco leaf, which would have made some 180 million cigarettes, in excess of manufacturers' requirements? Is it possible to adjust tariff charges so that tobacco manufacturing companies in Australia will be forced to use all the Australian grown leaf in their products?
