Senator HENTY (TASMANIA) (Minister for Civil Aviation) - I have read the Press report referred to by the honorable senator and I have also had confirmation of the proposal by letter from Ansett Transport Industries Ltd. Naturally, I will have to discuss the matter with Trans-Australia Airlines to find out what it has in mind before anything can be done. The proposal of Trans-Australia Airlines will come to us in the very near future. When the proposals of both airlines are before us, it will be necessary to examine the state of the airline industry and the facilities available at the airports to cater for the aircraft proposed to be purchased. The choice of the type of aircraft is largely left to the airlines.
