Senator BREEN (VICTORIA) - Has the Minister representing the Minister for Primary Industry read an article concerning the use of poisons to combat parasites and diseases affecting primary produce? The article directs attention to the need for uniformity in the laws and regulations of the States dealing with common names for pesticides, packing and registration requirements and poisons generally, as the present differing rules and regulations are confusing and are causing concern to industry and consumer. Will the Minister consider taking steps to bring about this necessary uniformity?
