Senator WRIGHT (Tasmania) .- I am obliged to the Minister for Customs and Excise (Senator Anderson) for the information on payments that have been made in the two years preceding this one. My interest stems from the fact that the major copper producer in Tasmania is dependent on the bounty. Has the Minister for Customs and Excise details of bounty Payments to the Mount Lyell Mining and Railway Co. Ltd. for the past two years?

Senator Anderson - This bounty applies to copper and brass strip.

Senator WRIGHT - I am in error in thinking that this is a copper production bounty. The figures that the Minister provided seem a little at variance with what I understood was paid in the way of copper bounty. I am glad that this matter has been elucidated.

Bill agreed to.

Bill reported without amendment; report adopted.
