Senator Sir WALTER COOPER - I wish to ask a question of the Minister representing the Acting Minister for Health. Has the Minister seen an article published in the Queensland " Sunday Mail " of Sth November, stating that Britain's new wonder drug, ceporin, which has been hailed as the most important antibiotic discovery since penicillin, is expected to gross more than £10 million a year in export orders, according to the drug industry. It was also stated that the drug could become the biggest earner of foreign currency in Britain's pharmaceutical manufacturing history. Will the Minister inform the Senate whether this new drug has been tested in Australia? If so, what were the results of the tests?
