Senator PALTRIDGE (Western Australia) (Minister for Defence) . - I am unable to give the honorable senator any information that is worth while. Included in the increase of £102,000 there will be escalation of salaries and wages. I do not have any details available at present. I shall see whether I can obtain any information for the honorable senator and, if so, I shall make it available to him. I would not like it to be thought either by Senator Mattner or Senator Wright that what they have said in respect of the Anzac commemoration goes unheeded by me. It does not. However, 1 think that we are at cross purposes, perhaps because of my failure to understand precisely what has been put. The Returned Servicemen's League, of its own volition and in a spirit which is well understood by all of us who are members of the League, undertook this project. It wrote to the Commonwealth Government and asked for assistance. A grant was made and the matter has ended there so far as it concerns the Prime Minister's Department. It can do nothing else about it. All I can say further at this stage is that I noted with interest what Senator Wright put.

Proposed expenditure noted.

Proposed expenditure - Prime Minister's Department (Special Expenditure) £30,000 - noted.
