Senator O'BYRNE (Tasmania) .- Mr. Chairman,1 want to refer to Division No. 400, sub-division 4, item 06 - State funerals. That amount appropriated for 1963-64 was £4,418 and the expenditure was £4,397. This year an amount of £1,800 has been appropriated. 1 am most interested to know who is the official estimator, the man who points the bone by estimating that we will spend £1,800 on State funerals in the forthcoming year.

Senator Cavanagh - He was correct last year.

Senator O'BYRNE - That is the astounding thing. Whoever he is, he is most accurate. He is so accurate as to be frightening, because it means that to spend £1,800 in the forthcoming year we will have at least one funeral. I would like to know how these figures are arrived at.
