Senator TANGNEY asked the Minister representing the Minister for Repatriation, upon notice -

1.   How many ex-servicemen over the past five years have applied for a pension entitlement for cancer?

2.   In how many cases has such entitlement been granted and in how many has it been refused?

3.   As the cause of cancer is still not known with certainty to medical science, under what circumstances is the ex-serviceman, so afflicted, given the benefit of the doubt as envisaged in the Repatriation Act?
