Senator JAMES McLACHLAN (SOUTH AUSTRALIA) asked the Minister for Trade and Customs, upon notice -

1.   Is it a fact that, owing to the demand, oranges at present are returning to the growers from 8s. to 10s. per case?

2.   On what basis did the Prices Commissioner fix the price at £10 10s. per ton (approximately 3s. 6d. per case) on the quota taken for military purposes?
