Senator FRASER - The Minister for Commerce has supplied the following answers S -

1.   I am not aware whether Jones and Company, of Hobart, are offering £11 a ton more for vegetables for canning than the price offered by the Vegetable Seeds Committee. The only vegetables purchased by tho Vegetable Seeds Committee have been 11 tons 6 cwt. of carrots, which were paid for at prices in conformity with those fixed by the Commonwealth Prices Commissioner.

2.   It is suggested that the honorable senator furnish particulars of the prices offered by Jones and Company for carrots to the Minister for Trade and Customs for investigation by the Prices Commissioner.
