Senator FRASER -One honorable senator- opposite said that he did not agree to the raising of the sum of £100,000,000 required by the Government for the prosecution of the war. It is the first time since the outbreak of the war that an honorable senator has. opposed, a Loan bill.

Senator ALLANMacDONALD (Western Australia) [3.18}. - Apparently, the Minister for External Territories (Senator Eraser) misunderstood my attitude on the bill to which he referred. I protested against the indecent haste with which that bill providing for the raising of. £100,000,000 by borrowing, was introduced.
