Senator McLEAY (SOUTH AUSTRALIA) - Seeing that the Leader of the Senate states that he has not seen the press report referred to, I inform him that five coal mines are idle to-day. In view of that fact, what does the Government intend to do about the matter?

Senator COLLINGS - I am of opinion that that question is entirely out of order. The honorable senator knows that he is not entitled to be informed regarding matters of government policy under cover of a question.
