Senator GIBSON (Victoria) .- The commercial stations have been operating under regulations, but now they are to be recognized in the act. In their evidence before the Joint Committee on Broadcasting, their representatives did not raise the point that has been taken by Senator Leckie. They seem to be quite satisfied with a three years' licence and the annual renewal of the licence thereafter. I do not think that any government would take from them their present rights, unless it intended to nationalize the' broadcasting system.
