Senator COOPER (QUEENSLAND) asked the Minister for Trade and Customs, upon notice -

1.   Is it a fact that the New South Wales maximum prices have been fixed for all brands of interstate beer sold in Sydney?

2.   If so, will the Minister furnish the Senate with a list of the prices, and indicate what, if any, additional amount hotelkeepers are permitted to charge if the beer is consumed in a hotel?

3.   Has any action been taken by the Prices Commissioner to fix the price of beer and spirits sold in the Australian Capital Territory?

4.   If not, will the Minister have an investigation made of the prices charged in the Australian Capital Territory with a view to preventing excessive prices being charged?
